2017 Retreat and Mission Trips
Please refer to 'Parents' tab to find out about our 2017 youth retreats and summer mission trips.

2016 Missions

  • M-FUGE (June 27 - July 2) - PUMC team members traveled to Philadelphia to perform inner-city mission work.
    • 20 team members traveled to Philadelphia to minister to that community in love. The fellowship and worship experience was invaluable.
  • Mexico (July 22 - July 30) - PUMC team members traveled to Ensenada, Mexico to provide a VBS program.
    • 12 team members traveled to Ensenada to minister to a small church and their community by delivering a specialized VBS program and sharing God's love with the Mexican children.
  • Bridge Builders (July 31 - August 5) - PUMC team members joined other local churches to perform mission work in and around Poughkeepsie.
    • 18 team members ministered locally to Ulster and Dutchess communities through various service activities such as painting and fixing up local parks and establishments, visiting Nursing homes, helping with the homeless shelter, delivering much needed furniture through Love INC, and just playing and sharing with children.

Church Youth Excel in Service:
Congratulations to the youth who participated in the Mission Trips this past summer.  Please see the article written about their accomplishments.

PUMC youth joined 10 other local churches for our annual Taconic Retreat held in March 2016. There were 100 youth that gathered to celebrate and worship Jesus Christ with Paul Coty as our speaker and the Crossing Jordan band leading worship. It was an awesome experience.

To recognize our PUMC Veterans, the youth hosted a Veterans Day breakfast on November 13th to serve those who have served this country.

To recognize our respected seniors in the congregation, the youth hosted an annual Senior Thanksgiving Luncheon in November with turkey and all the trimmings.

To recognize those in need in our community, the youth participated in gathering and distributing Thanksgiving Basket meals on November 20th and assisted with the Angel Tree event at the Gannett House by serving dinner and giving presents to children on December 20th.

Parent Information Information has been added to the Parents Section.  You will find permission slips and information about some of the upcoming conferences.  More will be added as it becomes available.

College Students
We would like to stay in touch with our college students throughout the year to let them know that PUMC is thinking of them. Please let John Marrine (jmarrine@gmail.com) or the church office (452‑2933) know of your child's college address.
